Dreaming of a Playground

Kids Cove is here! Parents, grandparents, other relatives, and lots of friends spent a week building the best playground in Wisconsin! Congratulations to the four winners of the naming contest.

Why I'm Glad We're Building a Playground at North Beach
by Dan Finkenbine

I'm glad Racine is building a playground at North Beach because the water is full of seaweed and all kinds of other gunk, so most days, we can't swim. After a while, it gets pretty boring just playing in the hot, dry sand, so it will be great to have a playground (like Kids Connection) on the beach. Since it is going to be by the lake, we might be able to have things like water slides and maybe cannons that shoot streams of water, which if possible, would make the playground even more fun. Even plain slides and things to climb on would be good, too. I hope all the adults in Racine can work together to build this playground for us.
